Here at the Hop Hooligans Institute we take great pride on messing with other people’s cultures, especially the most taboo of their rituals.
So we hope that Japanese tea masters will be able to manage with Earl Grey or chamomile during their fancy ceremonies, because we stole their precious whole leaf green tea for a special brew.
Hops can take a break, but just for a second or so, because there’s a new fruity, aromatic botanical in the house.
So take a deep bow and welcome Sencha into your lives.

Can 50cl, BB 11/12/2019 @ Niamey Craft Beer tasting, thanks Madalin.Lot# 34 Dorée sur un léger voile, col blanc. Arôme est plaisant assez parfumé de thé vert, retrouve un rétro herbacé assez prononcé. Le bouquet houblonné est plaisant sur des notes fines agrumes et accompagne bien le bouquet. Palais est plaisant léger, de fines notes d'agrumes avec un léger apport de thé vert. Petite note plaisant entre astringence et amertume du thé mais relevé par le côté terreux et fruité du Simcoe. Le profil malté reste léger et plus en retrait, permettant une bonne diffusion du thé. Léger et rafraichissant.

Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, flowers, perfume, tea, sweet tea. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration. citric, sour, flowers, tea, fruit juice, sweet fruit.
