Black with a thin tan head. Earthy notes up front with light dried cocoa powder, biscuit, faint coffee grounds, and a noticeable hint of bitterness in the dry finish. Medium to thin mouth. Simple but quite nice.

Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 13C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L20231223 (BB: 06/2025). AROMA: medium roasted malt aroma with notes of chocolate, slight coffee, with a slightly sweet background. APPEARANCE: very dark amber color and clear. slight ruby highlights. medium-low ivory head with meidum-low retention. TASTE: initial medium roasted malt flavor with coffee and slight bitter chocolate flavor. medium-high bitterness with a dry and burnt finish. MOUTHFEEL: meidum-low body with medium-low to low carbonation. OVERALL: an english porter too much roasted.
