Bottle, generously provided by Kermis, thanks! Bottle opens with a big hissss. Pours a black colour with a huge brown head that doesn't last very long. Aroma's: lots of (red) fruit, roast, sweetness, raisins, perhaps a bit oxidized. Flavour is above moderate sweet with sweet fruit. Alcohol feel is quite moderate. Body is medium at best. Roasty and sweetish finish.

Pours viscously to a huge orange-russet head, thick and dense over black beer. Lots and lots of roast, black chocolate, rust, metallic, chocolate toffees, but also brandy. Good dose of typical stout acidity followed by roast, finishing bitter with metallic-rusty tang. Feels full-bodied, warming, chewy. I have the impression there's a lot of restsugars still unfermented. Alcohol is present, but still mute relatively to its whopping 12%. Good carbonation even if the ABV destroys the head quickly. A good example of the type of overpowering beer on steroids I've had often before. I Many thanks to Louis! /I

Nice black pour with a fine beige layer on top. Good intensity in the aroma. Balanced sweetness and sourness. Dry ending. A fine coffee, chocolate, roast and fruity beer. [Taster from Werkmeister]

Bottle split at Level 6, thanks to New Ken, 31/10/18. Black with a big tan cap that quickly dissipates. Nose is bitter sweet fruits, dark malts, booze tunes, tangy fruit rinds, earthy. Taste comprises soured fruit mash, vinous twang, chocolate, spice, fruit cake. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a kick of alcohol. Passable impy if lacking depth and a touch overly boozey.
