Bottle @ Cafe Albert. Pours black with a small brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, light wood, light vanilla. Flavor is sweet, spicy, roast malt, caramel, dark chocolate, vanilla, alcohol. Medium to full body, soft to average carbonation, sweet spicy finish with warming alcohol.111123

Bottle thanks to AFHops, drunk 8/19/23. Dark, undetermined clarity. No/little head. Nose is rich bourbon with spice, lead, whiskey. Lovely, mellow, rich. Fudgey malts, juicy whiskey, rich malt. No booze. In the mouth, it's confounding. Wet pipe tobacco, cigar, port, rum floral notes, juicy for sure, sweet, though not too much. Not super viscous, actually fairly attenuated. Strange how much tobacco this is and how attenuated it is. I don't know...did the vanilla infect the beer?? Just not what the nose promised whatsoever.

750 ml bottle. Aroma of oak tannins, vanilla, rum. There are nuances of both rum and brandy, tobacco. Hints of Red Man chew. Vanilla is here but mild. No alcohol noticed when cold. Kind of sweet. What that hell does vanilla barrel mean?
