West Coast IPA - Named for a shortcut on the Oregon trail. We brewed this IPA from straight US grown pilsner malt. Hopped assertively in the kettle and whirlpool with columbus and centennial, then double dry hopped with columbus, centennial, simcoe and nelson sauvin. Big tropical and dank aromas smeared over a cracker dry base, and just enough IBU to touch on the glory days of WCIPA.

16oz can pours a clear, burnt gold with a finger of sudsy white head. Nose has dried grasses and some dried herbs, light pine, light grist and honey. Flavor packs more citrus bitterness to go along with the pine tar, a little blondie sweetness, light grass. Finishes bitter, medium bodied but just a touch off dry. 8 4 7 3 13

Draught at source: pours deep gold with white head. Aroma is grapefuit and pine. Not too bitter, but moderately so. Plenty of fruitiness. Piny aftertaste. Perfectly cromulent.
