Dark golden brownin color with a two-finger head. Aroma is well-balanced with roasted grains, hops and a touch of smokiness. Taste is also well-balanced with roasted grains, hops and a touch of smokiness.

Snallygaster: pours brownish with beige head. Aroma is malty and caramel. Taste is dry, low carb, slightly bitter. Meh.

Sample at the Roost. Clear brown, off white head. Nose has roasted almonds and caramel and toffee and a little roasted carrot. Flavors follow. Chewy. Dry finish. A bit understated but I like it.
