Ale with Graciano grapes aged in French oak puncheons
Behold the elusive Graciano grape. A highly-coveted Spanish-origin varietal endowed with dark fruit character and desired acidity, this berry's been hard to acquire in California, but we finally got some for ourselves. This ale is loaded with notes of fresh red fruits, subtle leathery tannins and a kiss of French Oak.

Bottle: pours wine with no head. Aroma is wine and wood... loads of grape. Taste is somewhat sour, acidic, charcoal, grape, berry. Solid, but barely beer.

750 ml bottle from 2019 RS. Thanks Adam. Aroma is tannic oak, red grapes, old berries. Flavor was massively sour until it warmed up. Pucker factor grew stronger as I drank. The alcohol was really hidden. Sort of like a sharp wine.
