$5 can night. Clear, filtered, pale copper, sticky, wide mouth pint glass pour in LIC. Smells beefy, beef sausage & eggs on a cold Jersey morning by the docks. Barely bittersweet, it's a strong sweet sausage smoke with a solid herbal hop kick. Pale cracker middle. Lingering herbal & introducing some savory charred veggies that the finish liens on. Thin, off-dry to dry, soft crispy, soft mouth. Tasty.

On tap at Finback - Brooklyn, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of campfire smoke, with toasted grains and bready malt in back. Flavour is on the sweeter side for the style, with campfire smoke, sweet cereal grains, and straw. Nicely constructed, good balance. Pleasant.

Dullish amber with medium head. Good beech smoke aroma. Biscuity malts, medium smokiness, off-dry finish. It's clean, so the foeder might lend a bit of wood note, but of course it's a rauchbier so there's going to be wood anyway. That helps to cut a slight stickiness in the malt.
