Barrels on barrels, as far as the eye—er, rye—can see. This bold imperial stout is an equal-parts blend of double barrel-aged Black Tuesday, aged for a year in bourbon barrels then finished in Rittenhouse rye barrels, and One & Dunn Reserve, aged first in a blend of Heaven Hill bourbon barrels and Willet and Peerless rye barrels then finished in Blantons and Four Roses bourbon barrels. Roasty, rich, and deeply complex, this is one to sip and savor.

Bottle shared at CBJ - big thanks to the Osprey. Pours oily black-brown with a foamy, khaki topping. Medium to big sweet flavour with layered dark malts, rich dark fruits, lovely hearty barrel notes, bourbon, port, raisins, dark chocolate. Full bodied - and I mean full - with fine carbonation and oily gesture. Warming finish, toothy dark malts, chocolate-covered cherries, raisins, fudge, bourbon, booze, vanilla. Impressive stuff. Super punchy but not cloying or overbearing. A real sipper and a treat.

Bottle thanks to Dan. Near opaque dark brown beer, small and short lived tan head. Airy palate, mildly dry, good fine carbonation. Big boozy dark malts, dark chocolate liqueur. Big rye whiskey, mahoosive. Some bourbon soaked fruits. Whiskey spice. Tangy whiskey and dark chocolate finish. Boozy spicy linger. 18.7%? My only issue with this is having not to chug it!

Bottle, 375 ml, shared with Luka and MiroB. Black with no head. Oily and viscous. Intensive dried fruit, some chocolate, caramel, figs, raisins, bourbon, sweet, some fresh fruit, full bodied. Warming, but works great for the abv.
