thanks omhper! Ambery golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is peach, some tart wood with mild herbal tones. Flavour is peach, tart wood, some mild citrusy and funky tones with mild earthy tones. Pleasant!

0.75 l bottle from 'Het Huis van de Geuze', 2017 vintage, bottled in October 2023. Clear, golden orange with a medium large, slightly fluffy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sourish, gently fruity, quite funky aroma of overripe lemon, oak, white pepper, quite some horse blanket and leather. Hardly sweet, fairly woody-dry, gently sour, rather funky and quite fruity taste of overripe lemon, oak, horse blanket, yoghurt, hay, leather and light barnyard, followed by a medium long, gently tart, fairly woody-dry finish. Medium body, gently astringent and rather effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Quite rustic, but also fairly elegant Geuze, fantastically balanced, very complex. Outstanding!

F: medium, off-white, average retention.
C: amber, hazy.
A: nice complex, woody, citrus, bit red wine, funky, leather, rhubarb.
T: light sour fruity, woody, citrus, green apples, gooseberries, nice tannins, bit herbal, light lactic, nice smooth over-carbonated mouthfeel, very nice complex beer for the style, from March 13 2017, so now almost 8 years old, for 17€ this is truly amazing, fully enjoyable.
F: medium, off-white, average retention.

Copper orange with a medium, firm white head. Fruity and snappy up front, acidic, herbal, citrus, grassy hay, and woody tannins. A sharpness that keeps everything light and striking. Medium bodied. It almost feels short of depth and yet there is a lot going on. Quite nice.
