Blonde in color with notes of concentrated white wine grapes with Brett funky notes. Aside from the white wine grape notes, there are aromas and flavors of mint, jasmine, grapefruit, a forward acidity, as well as a clean tart finish with a mild bitterness.

The Blend:
12.50% Temptation – Aged 22 months in Chardonnay barrels with Brett, Lacto, and Pedio
12.50% Petite Robert – Aged 24 months in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels and three mild strains of Brett
12.50% Orphan Beer – Aged 24 months in used Sonambic barrels with Brett and our house bacteria culture
62.50% Intinction Sauvignon Blanc – Aged for 12 months in Sauvignon Blanc barrels than another 12 months with the addition of the grape juice and three strains of Brett but no bacteria

Vinnie’s Thoughts:
This four-beer blend was made up by Natalie at one of our tasting / blending sessions. As you can see from above, the foundation of the blend is our Intinction Sauvignon Blanc with three other blonde beers blended in to help dry out the beer as well as lighten up the notes from the grape juice. One of the things I find interesting from this beer is that it is still holding a nice bitterness in the finish, something we usually don’t see in our barrel beers. This is a super clean tasting beer that would be great on a warm summer day or a great beer to open between drinking hoppy IPA’s.

Poured from a 510 ml bottle dated December 28, 2021. Aroma is fairly fruity and a grape forward with lighter notes of peach, apricot, pluot and lighter citrus notes. Light oak notes and alcohol. Light malt notes. Pours a slightly cloudy, pale, yellow-gold with a medium sized, medium thick, frothy, white head that recedes quickly to the center and disappears. Flavor is slightly acidic with a touch of sweetness and light grain notes. Low bitterness and low alcohol notes. Not as fruity as in the aroma but still quite a bit of grape and grape must with lighter notes of stone fruit and hints of citrus. Hints of oak. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid beer from Russian River. Nice complex fermentation notes with good fruity characteristics and barrel notes. I was expecting this to be more acidic, but it's only lightly acidic with a dry finish.

Ratebeer Odense Summer Gathering 2023. Hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of wood, citrus, funk, in particular something very close to 3 Fonteinen house character. Dry and light tart fruity and funky flavour with deep layers of complexity.
