Southern Cross & Citra DIPA.

This is one of a pair of beers designed to show off the characteristics of Southern Cross, a hop that has flown under the radar, in the shadows of bigger name varietals, but that is uniquely impactful at its best

Can split at the last minute CBJ Tasting (big thanks Marcin for hosting), cheers to Dave for this one, 13/07/23. Hazed golden orange with an off white cap. Nose is bitter orange, grass, pine needle, grapefruit, melon. Taste comprises bitter tropical fruits, mandarin, grapefruit, pine needle, light floral edge, grass. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with balanced hop bitterness. Tidy enough DIPA if a touch subdued for CW.

Not the L6 bottleshare. Thanks to Wingman. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth and semi dry palate, good fine carbonation. Soft creamy malts. Quite a skunky savoury start to the hops. Modest citrus. A little light pine. Ripe citrus of finish, ripe and bitter. Fine.
