We chose British damsons as the first fruit to experiment with and we’re incredibly happy with how this beer has come out. The base is a blend of beers from two barrels brewed in June 2021 and fermented with Saison yeast, Lactobacillus and Brettanomyces. After ageing, the beer was blended onto carbonically macerated damsons and left to marry for four months before bottling. The bottles were conditioned for three months before release.

This beer has wonderfully assertive cranberry tartness and jammy hedgerow berries, champagne-like effervescence and beautiful tannic structure. Woody funk, marzipan and delicate notes of vanilla alongside the intense fruit character.

Rated at Balance Taproom. Tart, slightly funky and sourish with some cranberry jam, berry juice and hints of farmyardy notes, plums, vanilla and oak. Not super aggressive

Keg at Indy Man 2022. Pours deep pink to purple with a pink cap. Aroma: fruity, dark fruits, jammy, funk. Taste: light tartness, juicy damsons, clean, funky hints. Medium body with spritzy carbonation.

Bottle via the online shop. Clear deep pink. Super fine dense baby pink foam. Nose has soft yeasty fruity funk. Nice fruit character. Jammy and juicy. Bit of sweet cherry in there. Taste is juicy and tart with light funk. Clean and tart juice on the palate. Foamy carbonation. Clean tart juicy finish. Quality gear.

75cl @ SirAlex Kids Barbeque. Thanks. Pours hazy red with a pinkish hew and bubbles. Deep and complex nose. Ripe yet bright plums and red fruit. Wood with a touch of vanilla. Good funk and barnyard. Dry slightly tart finish. Its a Lovely one.
