Bottle thanks to Stuu666. Appearance - jet black with a thin beige head. Nose - tangy dried and fresh dark fruit. Blackcurrant lozenge. Tar, wood, molasses. Taste - tangy and lightly acidic black fruit, probably blackberries. Smoke, tar and molasses. Palate - unexpectedly tangy rather than soft. Medium to full bodied. Overall - good but not what expected.

Panda at home, thanks to the Wingman, 09/04/21. Black with a tan cap that dissipates edgeward. Nose is dark malts, fruit rinds, cocoa powder, figgy, hint of port, wooded notes, light spice, vinous tones. Taste comprises dark malts, spice, jammy berry fruits, vinous notes, port barrel, cocoa sprinkle. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, light drying close with a balanced boost offered. Decent characterful impy stout.

Bottle from HoTM. It pours opaque dark brown to black with a dark tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, dark roast, toasty, coffee grounds, bitter - sweet character, jammy, loads of berry, bramble, jam, port, oak, cacao nibs, toothy, tobacco and cookie dough. The taste is tart and tangy fruits upfront, bramble, raspberry, black grape, plum jam, then its rich and roasty, bitter - sweet, tarry, toothy, dark chocolate, coffee grounds, oak, tobacco, earth, light tannin, spice and a touch of alcohol with a jammy fruit finish. Fulsome body, average carbonation and oily, slick mouth - feel. A fun take on this legendary beer. Very fruity.

Bottle at home from am online seller. Pours black with a dirty tan head that fades to lacing. Aroma is chocolate, liquorice, leather, wood, port notes, dried fruit. Taste is jammy fruits, leather, chocolate, dried fruit, port notes on the finish. Quite sharp with the fruit so loses some of the character. Decent.
