Well, let's start by getting the historical facts straight. As has already been established on other Amager Bryghus labels, Santa Claus is not from Greenland, Lapland, the North Pole or any other silly and extremely cold location. Santa Claus was born right here on Amager to a family of Dutchmen, who were invited by King Christian the 2nd to cultivate this savage island and fill the king's belly with fresh vegetables. Thus it was in a family in "Dutchtown" or more formally Store Magleby, that the first generation of Santa Claus was born - to the Ijsbrandt family in the year 1589, to be precise . Giving birth all went very smoothly, especially considering this was mummy Lijsbeth's first pregnancy. Daddy Crilles grunted with satisfaction seeing it was a boy. However, soon afterwards Lijsbeth realized that this was far from over. " Oh mijn God, dat is dubbel!" (Oh my God, this is double up!) she cried out, as she popped baby number two into the hands of the midwife. This time a lovely baby girl. So there you have it - Santa had an unknown twin sister. 17 generations later, it's still the first born son in the Ijsbrandt family who's the official Santa Claus - today running an orange plantation in California for 11 months of the year, as established by another Amager beer label. As per usual, the boy got all the fame and publicity, but Santa's twin sister got the brains. Her line of the family today runs a sustainable production of reindeer Milk Stouts on the island of Terschelling, off the Duch coast. This beer is very much inspired by the historic tradition of beer brewing between Amager and Terschelling - over no less than 17 generations.

can from natholdets julekalender #10 unclear brown, light brown head. aroma of belgian yeast, cellary, dark malty and chocolate, belgian yest is strong in this one. flavor is malty, belgian yeasty, weirdly herbal bitter, it's like they made a belgian brown strong ale and then tried to add as many spices they could possibly do, without them being detected outright. I even get some hemp notes... is paps in the undercover drug smuggling business? He will soon be out of a job cause hemp is getting legal almost everywhere these days.
