Bottle picked up from Biervana, München and consumed at home Attenkirchen, Saturday 11th January 2020 listening to Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on 6 Music and cooking a Paella. Pours dark, dark brown actually let's not beat about the bush it's virtually black. Nice aroma, a hint of vanilla but plenty of malt and a little nutty edge. This is a great beer, really like this, it's a punchy Double Brown a little hoppiness showing, the aromas are very much evident in the mouth.

50 cl bottle @ hotel room, Dresden. BBE 18.02.2019 Aroma is lovely with lots of coffee and quite nothing elsw. Flavour has ash, pot coffee, some tobacco and slight saltiness. Dry and excellent. By taste this does not differ that much from an average imperial stout.
