Intense fruity aroma and taste, pineapple and apricot, melon and some zesty citrusy grapefruit and lemon, sweet malty support with a nice assertive bitter hoppy finish. Class.

Rated at Oluthuone Haka. IPA-lärvilautanen 4/4. Smooth, herbal and piney with some grassy hops, dry earthiness and hints of fruits.

Hazy, golden-orange colour with a white frothy-bubbly head, good retention and patches of foamy lacing. Beautiful Nelson Sauvin aromas of white grapes with some mild lemon zest, orange juice and oats. The flavours blend the lighter vinous notes with more citrus zestiness, creating some bitterness, and then dryness in the finish. This dry end keeps on building as you drink. Feels like I am getting a little more dry-hoppiness from the Citra, than the wine-like hops. Wish I would get more Nelson and Riwaka. Still, a nice DDH IPA.

(473ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours very hazy pale yellow with a thick eggshell head and some lace. Aroma of lemon, white grape, acid-free passionfruit, dank grapefruit, slightly doughy pale cereals, grass, touch of guava. Flavour is dry, white grape, lemon, pale grapefruit, peppery but balanced resinous Riwaka grip, dank/grassy overtones, malt is lightly doughy and quite pale, bone dry finish with light minerality, lemon/grapefruit and dank Riwaka, a little white grape, light bitterness and enough astringency to call for another sip. Light to moderate body, moderate-plus carbonation (needs some swirling out). Very dry and crisp, maybe a bit heavy on the Riwaka relative to the Nelson, but a really refreshing NZ-styled IPA without much in the way of residual sugar.
