16 ounce can from brewery. Opaque dark brown color. Rocky tan head. Spotty lacing. Aroma of sweet roasted malt hints at milk chocolate. Flavor mirrors nose. Baker’s chocolate, mild licorice, dark toast. Dry on the palate. Some woodiness and earthiness on backend. Well made. Enjoyable.

Cask sample.  Watery dark brown with a ton of cream colored head.  Smoked nose, toast, malt.  Flavor is smokey and a little rubbery, malt, grist.  Finishes long, medium bodied.  Ok.  6 4 6 3 11

Proletariat draught, 4/29/23. Clear, dark chocolate-amber, small, beige head. Roast and toast, vanilla and honey. Fruity yeast, great attenuation perceived. Not too much roast. Soft, malty, very dry, very light and drinkable. Mostly roast but not too overdone. Toasty, caramel, biscuit. Very high attenuation creating extreme drinkability.

Cask at F&M: pours dark brown with a loose beige head. Aroma is chocolate and liquorice. Taste is roasty, chewy and a little sweet. Nice liquorice notes. Really enjoyed.
