Maibock

Razdoblje Oktoberfesta obilježavamo jakim njemačkim lagerom!

Bock Bock je po stilu maibock, srednje je tankog tijela s osjetnim alkoholom, ali pitko. Dominira sladna aroma, tost, zapečena korica kruha. U aromi se blago osjeti hmelj s cvjetnim i biljnim notama, a u okusu malo više dolazi do izražaja. Srednje je gorčine sa suhim završetkom.

Dirndls and lederhosen ON!

Hmelj: H. Magnum, H. Mittelfruh

# 4608; 4/2025. Malty, caramel, herbal, hoppy spicy, honey, light woody aroma. Clear copper body; off-white head with low retention. Malty, dried apricot, herbal, caramel, spicy, light alcohol warmth. Heavier body, soft carbonaition. Very good Dark Bock. Compare to Geman Bocks, this is more of a Dunkelbock than a Maibock. As a Maibock atypical, as a Dunkelbock very good.0,5 l, can, gift (many thanks, Marko!).

Can courtesy of Marko big thanks Marko. Had this Wednesday 26th March 2025, cooking Homemade Spicy Potato Wedges and Breaded Chicken Fillets. Pours mid amber with a fast disappearing white head, it was quite big but now just a film. Malty and a little fruity, a touch chewy but in a good way, nice mouthfeel, soft, this is a good Bock, some sweetness a touch of caramel and toffee. Good.

Can, 0.5l. Murky, muddy deep amber/brown pour, one finger creamy off-white head, medium retention, sticky lacing on the glass. Nice on the nose, malty and herbal notes, toasted caramel, subtle fruity notes in the background. Medium body, medium carbonation, lively. Smooth mouthfeel and texture, soft, chewy, fizzy. Refreshing and easily drinkable. Nicely balanced bittersweet taste with some mild sour notes in the background. Aroma of toasted caramel, dark malts, bread. Herbal and grassy notes, spice, yeast. Fruity citrus notes in the background. Slightly sticky. Long lasting finish, dry, herbal, lingering hop bitterness. Quite tasty.

Can at Ambasada. Coppery-amber body, thick off-white head. Woody, dry, caramelly taste, sweet, floral hoppy touches, quite smooth. Dry, grainy, woody taste, bit floral, sweetish, lightly grainy, vague alcohol, dryish and bitterish finish, not too sweet. Really not a maibock, but somewhere in between a maibock and a dark bock. A hoppy amber-red bock all in all. And a good beer.
