Foeder-fermented Alt Bier brewed with a 50/50 base of the choicest German Floor Malted Pilsner and British Maris Otter. The rich malt profile is balanced by a firm hoppiness and a mild berry ester from the fermentation profile. We’re tasting crushed graham cracker pie crust, slow cooked caramel sauce, subtle marshmallow oak, and hand plucked raspberries and blackberries drizzled in rich molasses.

16oz can from Tavour. Clear copper pour, minimal head fades away. Nutty, earthy aroma, malty. Taste is subdued, malty, nutty, almost bland. I was hoping for better on this style.

Decent attempt at an Altbier. Slightly too sweet and that takes the sessionability down a notch.

0.473 l can from 'Beer Republic'. A bit hazy, amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty, minimally fruity aroma of caramel, nuts and traces of raisins. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, a bit woody-dry and minimally fruity taste of caramel, honey, nuts and traces of raisins, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a bit woody-dry finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Thinned-out Altbier, drier than usual, not overly outspoken, unfortunately. Quaffable, but expected more from it.

Düsseldorf calling. DARK Amber color and a white head. Nice malty-caramel nose, Taste Starts with a nice maltyness, bready, caramelly, faint dried fruits and nuts. Smooth and mellow mouthfeeling. Netter than the Düsseldorfer ones

16 oz can from jcos, 5/15/23. Pours a darker, rusty looking orange-amber, with a thin beige head. Malt-forward with caramel, bread, brown sugar, and a bit of tangerine. Drinks a little sweet up front, with a nice grainy / bready thing on the finish that balances out the sweetness. Good mix overall. Very drinkable, fairly clean. Nice beer.
