Can. Rich amber beer with a dark cream head. Light grapefruit and light tropical fruit aroma. tropical fruit and light summer fruit flavor with light citrus and backing malt. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Tropical fruit and citrus linger with light backing malt.

The Gate: Clear and gold and white head. Aroma is grapefruit, barely any pine. In honesty it is more of a sweet light hazy in taste in a lot of ways. Still a solid beer.

Canned 6/8/22, drunk 7/3/22. Lightly hazy, brass-bronze with a small, white head showing low retention. Fruity and spicy with pine, but no heavy resin or sourish hop character. Some good tangerine, lemon and even juicy grapefruit with a solid base of honey and white bread-like malt for balance. No alcohol or flaw, nor weird yeast character. Soft and surprisingly balanced with tangerine, nectarine, papaya and a build up of pine and other spicy hop notes that never get too bitter/sourish/fatiguing. Malts are lightly sweet but appropriately attenuated leading to a great balance that is still bitterness-forward to live up to its intended style. Definitely a nod to the NEIPA, but with a solid pine and citrus backbone and much higher than average bitterness.
