Bitter is the rain that never fell. Bitter is the rain that fell too late. And bitter is the rain that will eventually fall, risking to create washouts in the Australian bush devoid of vegetation after being completely scorched by the devastating wildfires that have been roaring all around Australia for months and months. Everyone who knows Amager Bryghus from social media also knows that we are an animal friendly brewery. Some may even claim that we prefer animals to people, and they are not completely wrong. When we heard the news that up to 1 billion Australian animals were affected by the fires, the scale of this disaster suddenly dawned on us. We felt we had to do something. , and since we are a brewery, beer is what we do best. Hence Bitter Rain was born – an Australian-style IPA.
When you buy this beer, either bottled or as draught, you will support wildlife in Australia. Amager Bryghus will donate proceeds from the sales to one or more Australian animal rescue organizations working to restore the wildlife population suffering from the bushfires.

Draught @ Fox and Hounds, Sønderborg. Pours cloudy straw with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of hops and citrus, with fruity touches and hints of yeast. Bitter flavour of hops and grass, with citric notes and seeetish touches of fruit and yeast and hints of malt. Lingering bitter aftertaste with mild touches of citrus and yeast. Thick body for the style, enhanced by high carbonation. A really well-crafted, satiating and enjoyable IPA.
