Inspired by saisons in the Wallonian region along the border of Belgium and France. Madame is a dry Saison brewed with barley and wheat from Skagit Valley, setting a stage for our house yeast culture to thrive and produce notes of Meyer lemon, apricots followed by a soft bitterness from German hops.

Capped 375 from Tavour. Pours translucent gold with a huge frothy white head. Aroma is citrus/earthy/funky. Med body. Dry, lightly astringent. Flavor is somewhat funky, with things like lemon zest, pale prunus fruit. Hints of white berries (aka white wine). Nice saison.

A taster shared with Josh, Matt, Phill, and Ryan during FHF WITHOUT priceless Rachel's help in organizing all the mess with glasses. Appearance: hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma: rustic, oak, bugs. Taste: same, pretty smooth. Overall: nice one.

Pour is a cloudy blonde with a huge white head. Aroma is white wine, barnyard funk, white pepper and white grapes. Flavor is funky and fruity with more white pepper and lemon peel. Finish is a bit tart and bitter. This is an excellent spot on example of a straight forward saison.
