This beer celebrates a special time of year and is our tip of the cap to German tradition and their love of beer. Notes of biscuit, toasted bread and honey, finishing with a malt sweetness.

Our brewers took cues from a couple of lager varieties to create the best of both worlds. The color is amber to red, consistent with an American-style Marzen with the toasted maltiness of a Festbier. Bitterness is balanced and the ABV falls on the lower end of the spectrum for maximum sessionability.

On tap at Mother Earth, pours a clear copper with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and some gentle sugars. Flavour is dry, with toasted malt and dry bready malt. Dry, toasted, almost oaky. Good stuff.

12 oz can from Total Wine, Las Vegas, NV. Pours a clear bronze color with a small khaki head and decent retention. Zero lacing. Sweet caramel malt aroma. Caramel malt flavor with some bread in the finish. Decent flavor profile, but this can is a little past its prime. Kind of a flat body. Expired carbonation. Not bitter. Could be really good, but I'd love to try a fresh can.
