A graceful golden beer brewed with Amarillo, First Gold and Challenger hops from the UK and USA. We use three malts; English Maris Otter, German Munich and the favourite, Belgian Biscuit which gives this beer it’s wonderful toasty finish and beautiful golden hue. This beer brings a wonderful balance of sweet floral notes and a subtle orange finish making it our favourite session beer.

Chelmsfaaarhd winter beer festival. Cask in KEGS. Almost clear pale gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and dry and has modest fine carbonation. Dry pale malts, no discernible sweetness do they impart. Wishy washy tangy citrus. Dry finish. Painfully bland and over dry to boot.

Cask at the Tilly Shilling, Farnborough, 03/02/18. Clear golden with a well presented off white head. Nose is pale malts, grains, lemon rind, straw. Taste comprises biscuit malt, light breads, orange peel, straw, grains, crackers. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. A competent gold ... just a bit on the boring side.

Bottle at home. 12/06/16. Purchased at Secretts Farm Shop by my in-laws on a day when the brewery where there promoting their beers. A light hoppy aroma, with a sweetness to it. Doesn’t look too intersting, a dark gold with a weak soap sud-esque head. Intersesting taste - even if I am not 100% sure if I like it! Starts off with a hint of sweetness but then the bitterness takes over. More of a kick than I was expecting. A thin finish, but relatively lively and that bitter finish. I’m not really in to golden ales but this one is a bit different, even if I won’t seek it out agan.

Cask at the Jolly Sailor, Farnham. Golden maber with a thin white head and lots of lacing; floral aroma; sweet biscuity taste with some fruit; and a dry finish. If this beer was a biscuit it would be a McVitie’s Fruit Shortbread.
