Dark brown with beige foam. Low carbonation, full but not too heavy body. Lots of roastiness, ash, dark chocolate and coffee. Some sour noted boosting drinkability. Bold finish with roasted coffee, dark chocolate and lots of campfire smokiness. Alcohol well hidden. Very good.

Cask at Egham Beer Fest Autumn 24. Aroma is smokey but not overly so. Tangy. Opaque darkest brown. Thick foamy beige head. Bitter throughout. Over a dark chocolate core. Slightly creamy. Hoppy. Spicy. Light-medium bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Punchy stuff.

Tap at Rigg and Furrow. Nearly black. Good dense beige foam. Nose has soft savoury smoke. Roasty ashy malts. Notes of treacle and coffee. Taste has a pretty intense bitterness. Some treacle sweetness on the lips. Good full body. Fine carbonation. Bitter finish. Nice.

Can thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - mat to jet black. Foamy beige head. Nose - bonfired wood and chocolate. Brown bread. Taste - burnt wood, sweet chocolate brownie, some rye spice and some toffee linger. Palate - medium bodied and lightly spicy with rich finish but dried nicely with the smoke. Overall - good gear.
