Greenock Cut is a historic aquaduct that culminates in a cascade of water in stunning Scottish countryside. The name seems ideal for our Export Scotch Ale brewed with together with the great folks at Salt. Perfect for the winter months with a deep amber appearance. This beer is all enveloping with malt forward flavours of caramel and biscuit. Notes of raisin and honey lay just beneath the surface. With a beautiful boozy warmth, making this a beer to sip and savour.

Can. Pretty much a clear very deep amber - brown beer, decent bubbly tan head. Smooth palate, a mild dryness, decent fine carbonation. Rich malts, a little creamy sweetness, dark toffee, not that sweet, some dark honey and a touch of molasses. Smooth ripe fruits and some estery candy fruits on the close. Good depth of flavour for the style and the abv sails on by unnoticed. Nice, Thornbridge rarely let you down and this is no exception. Can't remember the last time I enjoyed a brew of this style so much.

Keg at The Colmore, Brum. Aroma is fruity and boozy. Dark fruits. Candy sugar. Malts. Dark and glossy. Thick foamy beige head. There's a prominent bitter streak alongside burnt caramel, dark fruits and bready malts. Medium bodied. Oily. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Yum.
