Can split at the farewell to Monica tasting, Watford, from HOTM online 20/09/24. Golden blonde topped with a good sized white head. Nose is smoked malts, straw, caramel, herb, hedgerow, brown bread. Taste comprises smoked malts, spice, caramel, straw, toasted grains, biscuit crumbs. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Tidy smoked affair.

Can at Watford Tasting. Cheers Colin. Aroma has smoky sweetness. Hazy light amber. Thin foamy white head. Sweet and tangy. Definite Helles followed by the smoked malts. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long finish. Sweet smoky stuff.

Can shared at the Watford tasting . 2024-09-20. Many thanks to Cloin. A mostly clear orange coloured pour ith a halo of white head. Aroma si rauch berr, smokey bacon frazzels, toffee, brown sugars. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, smokey birch, sausage, light salt. Palate is semi sweet, smokey, brown sugars. Solid rauch.

Bottleshare at Chez Frog. Thanks to Cloin for the can. Almost clear deep gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Airy smooth palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Smooth malts, a light creamy sweetness. Soft smoke, not too heavy. Light marmalade fruits. Smooth and semi dry finish. Tidy smoke.

Can from The Beerhive. Slightly hazy golden body with an off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of smoked malt, orange rind and pear. Flavour of salted apricot and yeast. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Rich and lightly smoked.

Can picked up at the brewery. Also many pours on site. Rating based off the can though. Clear light to medium gold. Slim dense lasting white foam. Slightly leggy. Looks boss. Nose has sweet maple smoked bacon. Thatโs it. Iโve nailed it innit. Despite what the blurb says this is pretty sweet overall, with an underlying leafy hop bitterness. Smooth and impressively easy drinking at the ABV. Fine foamy carbonation. Bittersweet finish with more of the maple syrup thing throughout. Good gear. Bonkers, in fact but itโs nothing like the description.
