Bottle at BrewWild Madrid. A dark mahogany pour with a persistent, tan head. Aroma is figs, dates, toast, whole cane sugar, molasses. Mouthfeel is slick, medium to full-bodied. Sweetish onset, crisp, with a rather bitter and long-lasting finish. Nice.

Bottle. dark amber color. Malt, toffee and butter in the aroma. Malty sweet toffee flavor. Alcoholic. Herbal hops make their presence clearly. Hints of roast and laurel. Hint of smoke even. Sweet, alcoholic but good.

Draft at In De Wildeman. Hazy brown with a tan head. Aroma of caramel, dried fruits, red berries, sweet malt and butterscotch. Flavour is light heavy sweet and above moderate bitter. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle. Pours cloudy dark amber. Aroma is oxidation, dark fruit, cherries. Body is heavy and sweet, quite strong, with a low carbonation. Not so typically barley wine, less toasted. Soft booze, a bit stingy. Lingering warming palate. Works well.

Tap at CBH 2017, Helsinki. Color is murky brown with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Dry fruits, raisins and malts. Viscosity is huge. Glue.

(Keg at CBH2017) The beer dark brown and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had sweetness, malts and ripe banana. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, dark fruits, ripe banana, caramel and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, malty and bitter. A tasty barley wine with ageing potential.
