Tap @ craft beer Helsinki. Poured light brown in color with a thin white head. Aroma has bready malty, raisiny notes in aroma. Flavor has rye bread, raisins, sweetness, caramel. Mild boozy touch. Ok barley wine.

Draught @ Craft Beer Helsinki 2017. Pours dark reddish orange with a smooth head. Aroma of malts, caramel, rye, toffee, pine and earthiness. Taste is smooth, malty and caramely with some rye, toffee, pine and earthiness. Finish is hoppy, earthy and malty with some caramel and rye. Okay.

Sampled from tap at ’Craftbeer Corner Coeln’. Slightly hazy, dark reddish amber with an off-white head. Sweetish, malty and slightly spicy aroma of caramel, raisins, prunes and some molasses. Rather sweet, malty and slightly fruity taste of caramel, molasses, raisins and prunes, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly dry and warming-alcoholic finish. Medium to full body, oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!

Draft - Sweet caramel and toffee. Muddy brown with a decent beige head. Dark toasty and slightly burnt sugars with a long toffee sweet bitter finish. Touch of liquorice.

Botella 33 cl en el kraken 17..01..2017. (r38). Lote 741 hasta 09..2021. Color marrón oscuro casi negro turbio con espuma beige. Aromas y sabores caramelos tostados y frutos pasos. Ligeros toques de naranjas. Cuerpo medio a intenso con gran sensación alcohólica seca y duradera. Amargo final no muy intenso algo herbaceo y ligeramente resinoso. Original barley wine que se asemeja a una doble belga más lupulada y seca. No está mal. Original.

Bottle, many thanks Taboada! Reddish-brown color with eggshell head. Aroma is malty, sticky resinous, raisins, berries, toffee, a bit milk chocolate. Taste is sweet, raisins, caramel, toffee, figs. Oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Sticky. A proper Barley Wine!

Bottle@TTBS - Amber pour with white head. Fruity and sweet malty with notes of caramel and dried fruit, some brown sugar, some toffee, sweet malty finish. Nice.

33 cl bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small off white head. Aroma is dense malty and slight caramelish. Dark malty. Sweet, toasted malty and dense malty. Bitter and toasted malty finish.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and over ripe fruits, leading to a bitter finish.
