Bottle shared at "ZZT nieuw leven in blazen"-tasting. Dark brown color, deep dark red glare. Small beige head. Aroma and flavor are malts, sweet notes, almonds, "wijnbal van de kermis", bitter in the finish with quite some boozy notes. Okay.

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 26/06/2025.
Extremely dark mahogany brown with a fast escaping beige head.
Nose is ripe fruit esters, dates, figs, mellow barrel tones, vinous, herb, toffee.
Taste comprises fruit cake mix, stewed fruits, caramel, brown sugar melt, prunes, figs.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light rising boost.
Tidy sipper.

What is a Munich Wine? Dunno! Fairly hazy deep amber brown beer, small tan head doesn't last a jiffy. Smooth and fairly light palate given the style. Modest fine carbonation is fine for the style! Caramel and cream malts lead to a mind expanding fruity array. Abundant candy fruits form a good layer over rich ripe orchard fruits. Almost estery in its complex ripe fruitiness. Brandy soaked rich ripe fruits is the finale. Good rich and tasty non ba barleywine. Also, slightly off its tits but, really not in a bad way.

My first Munichwine! This definitely tastes different than a typical barleywine. Loads of very sweet Munich malts. Definitely too sweet and lacks a bit of depth.
