Inspired by 19th century british Stock Ales, this beer is our reinterpretation of modern Double IPAs. It was brewed with Maris Otter malt and flaked wheat and intensely hopped with french-grown Nugget, Cascade and Chinook hops as well as Hallertau Blanc.
It was barrel-aged and dry-hopped in the barrel for five months, and then dry-hopped again before bottling.
So yes, it is indeed a Hazy DDH Double IPA, but it is dry and funky, at the crossroads between hops, brett and barrel

From bottle at Carnivale Brettanomyces 2024. Nice blend of fruity hops with balanced bretty funk. Picking up citrus, lemon, soft tropical notes. Finishes with dry brett and hoppy bitterness. Great.
Hapukas, puuviljane, kuiv, brettine, aprikoos, väga mahe. Ok.
Bitter, bretty, herbal, medicinal, bit of cider-like

Bottle from 2024 pack. Color: Hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Hoppy, fruity and some funk. Taste: Mix of hop, Brett funk, grass, citrus fruit (mostly lemon) and barrel wood. Very light sweetness, light tart and moderate to over moderate bitterness. Just below medium body, average carbonation Long lasting dry, funky finish. A refreshing DIPA the Le Soupir way... Very Nice, Arthur!
