Craft (not in) St Mary’s Axe. Keg. A pint. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry and finely crisp. Light malts, smooth and dry and reasonably sweet. Hops bring a mild dry spice. Pithy citrus and a trace of tropicals. Dry finish. It’s no Cloudwater DIPA for sure but it’s clean and drinks under it’s abv, finished me pint with no problem.

On keg at Coach and Horses, Dronfield - Hazy yellow body, thick gushing white head. Nose is booze heavy, strong tropicals, heavy citrus, big bold aromas. Taste is heavy and syrupy, massive hop-bomb with lots of sugary citrus, mangos, peaches and grass. Clacking mouthfeel, very rich with alcohol.

Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of wood spice, booze, resin and marmalade. Taste is light sweet, more woody notes and booze. Light citrus finish. Gnarly.

Keg at Beer Asylum, Pinner. A hazy golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, tropical fruit, spice on the nose. Tastes hoppy, juicy, spice, peach, tropical fruit. Very nice, reminded me a bit of the Cloudwater DIPAs but less sweet and some spice. Decent DIPA.

Tap. Bath Hotel, Sheffield. Murky gold. Bubbly, blotchy, sticky, off white head. A bit leggy. Nose is big on the spicy, orange marmalade hop. Notes of minty herb. Oily herb. Clove spiked orange. Buttery malt backdrop. Pretty distinctive really. Taste is sweet, first off, with a spicy, herbal bitterness. Mouthfeel is oily and juicy. Doesn’t drink the ABV necessarily. Gets pithy and zesty bitter as it goes along. I could do an unhealthy amount of this! Nice one.
