This is our Award Winning rich, and sweet malt bomb of a beer. A premium bitter, a strong English ale, an ESB, one of the all time classic styles of beer. Bramling Cross hops bring the balancing bitterness with flavours of hedgerow fruits.

NOTE: Previously known as "Advent Horizon" and branded as an Old/Stock Ale, this is the same recipe and simply renamed/restyled as an ESB.

Pours a mahogany brown colour with a small bubbly beige head. The aroma is malty and fruity, malt loaf, dark fruit and nutty notes. A moderately sweet to light sweet malty taste, malt loaf, dark fruit (raisins and prunes) flavours with light roasted and chocolate notes and a malty bittersweet finish.

Can picked up from Hoptimism website, Loughborough, Leicestershire UK and consumed at home Sunday 6th December 2020 listening to Kelly Stoltz - Ah. Cooking Oven-baked kale gnocchi with balsamic tomatoes. Pours hazy chestnut brown with a cappuccino coloured head. Plenty of caramel, fruity with a typical British earthy hoppiness, malty, jolly pleasant ESB.

Foamy tan head left a creamy cover on a reddish brown still body. Red berry & peppery aroma. Medium bodied, smooth over the tongue with a tingle on the back. Malt, jam, berries, confectionery, light roasted & nutty tastes. Very tasty.

Third by cask on the 2nd day of GBBF Winter 2020, Sonnet Bar. Shared with Finn. Misty ruby-reddish body, bubbles on the top, scattered lacing. Dark malt-driven aromas with hints of berry-fruits. Stewed dark fruity flavours with earthy, mid-sweet malts. Prolonged sweet ending. Okay in smaller amounts. (Birmingham 05.02.2020).

Handpull cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Very dark reddish brown, flat with a ring of loose beige head. Odd smell: light, very malty, a bit sour like balsamic vinegar. Not that pleasant. However it tastes wonderfyl. Malty and sweet with notes of black cherry and delicate black tea. Finish is incredibly bitter with medicinal hops clinging to the back of the throat. A complex little changeling.
