Cask, third at Manchester Beer and Cider Festival, Coast To Coast Bar. Shared with Finn. Black in the glass, stable fawn-coloured head, lacing rings down the glass. Roasted malty aromas, impact of dark berries. Mixed taste profile of cherries and chocolate. Berry-malty end, dry. Food friendly and nice. (Third day at the festival, 24.01.2020).

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Darker brown with a creamy head. Has sweetened dark malts with a fantastic balance of sweet and roasted, with the latter also evident in its aroma.

On cask at Monty's Bar. Appearance - dark brown to black and opaque. Lovely fawn head. Nose - chocolate and toffee with nuts hanging out in the background. A touch of honeycomb too. Taste - more chocolate and nuts, with toffee, probably nougat. Palate - creamy and medium bodied. Elegant finish. Overall - lovely porter.
