Can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours light amber with a moderate creamy white head. Med body at least. Flavor is slightly roasty malt with floral and citrus. Surprisingly malty/sweet. Moderately bitter. Not all that West Coast IHMO, but not NEIPA either. What a world.

Can. Amber beer with a cream head. Light grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine linger.

12 ounce can, 9/3/23. Hazy amber, large white head, average retention. Aroma of grapefruit, tangerine, pale malt. Taste is tangerine, pale malt. Juicy, low bitterness.

Rather uninspired, lacking the heavy malt base and wicked pine of a classic West Coast IPA, and lacking the fruitiness of more modern versions. Drinkable, but kind of a straight-down-the-middle IPA, no more, no less.

Honey color with a large fluffy head that lingered and left great lacing. Piney, citric, and somewhat bitter and semi sweet. Medium finish. Moderately full bodied.

As I leave the almost perfect convergence of being the No.1568 rater and having 1569 ratings, it is time to taste a new IPA. Gone Trippin' came from the singles display at the nearby HEB. I will continue with the Belgian style tulip glass, why change? The appearance is a dark orange body topped by a heroic head of off-white foam. The smell is plenty juicy, I think I know the direction this one is going. I take a drink, actually this beer is more a moderate combining of WC and NE styles. Tropical as in tangerine, mango and then some grapefruit, hay and white bread. The sweetness level is not bad and certainly there is a decent bitterness. An okay brew actually going the better way.

3 week old can A: Dull deep amber gold with 1/2 of beige foam. Good retention and stringy lace. S: Citrus and tropical fruits, tart berries and light caramel. T: Bitter and sweet at once with woody and caramel malts competing with floral, citrus pith and zest notes. Ultimately a bit malt forward. M: Medium body, crisp carbonation and and clean finish. O: Fairly well balanced though hop flavors are somewhat generic. At least it's stops just short of too sweet.
