In ancient times, rituals and rites marked the passing of the seasons. At Fort George we adhere to the ancient ways. We mark the beginning of summer each year with a 3-Way IPA: our most popular, most loved summer seasonal.
3-WAY IPA VERSION TWO is a West Coast Style IPA brewed with Kölsch yeast in a slick lavender can. The brewers at Fort George, Cellarmaker and Anchorage spent months sifting through their extensive IPA style archives to formulate the perfect West Coast recipe. How could we settle for just one style? Version Two is Available all over the Pacific Northwest, all summer long.
Hops: Citra, NZ Cascade, Pikimai
Riwaka, HR Riwaka, Simcoe
Malt: Rahr Pils, Gambrinus Rye
Malt, GM Flaked Wheat,
Weyermann Acidulated
Yeast: Kaiser Kölsch

Fort George x Anchorage x Cellermaker 3-Way IPA West Coast 2023 7% This is a series I try to get my hands on each year. Great woodsy spicy with loads of fruitiness as well. This is a modern style west coast that’s almost juicy, like that mountain IPA style that never seemed to take off. Medium bodied and slightly scratchy carbonation but PACKED with hops while remaining well balanced. I’ve gotta say I think this is awesome and one of the best I’ve had in the series.

Poured from 473mL can @ July Black Xmas (pkg 06/06/2023). Slightly hazy bright yellow with small white head. Lots of gas fumes and weedy hops. Decent.

Tap at University of Beer in Vacaville, CA. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is extremely tropical to include passion fruit and guava. Citrus and green melon. Fruity, yet nicely bitter. Excellent.

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Golden pour, cloudy, sturdy white foamy head. Aroma is citrusy, zesty, grassy, floral. Taste is grapefruit, lemon peel, hibiscus, dank and grassy. Almost leads up to a flavor close to onion. Underneath swirls some solid bready malts.

Purple can. Pours a clear golden hue with a medium white head. A big fresh lemon and perfume nose. Yeast, toast, lemons, lots of hop oil, orange peel. Smooth, a big dank element. Very flavorful.
