Our legendary Central Coast Quad, Stickee Monkee, saw a few fun twists in our barrel hall. After aging for 18 months in WhistlePig rye barrels, we blended in a selection of the beer to orange bitters barrels to add a touch of zesty citrus. To create an extra layer of decadence, we recirculated the final blend through cocoa nibs at a rate of 6 pounds per barrel. The result is a beer bursting with notes of dark chocolate, honey-soaked orange wedges, and baking spices, making it a truly indulgent treat.

12oz bottle from Tavour. Silky black pour, ring of beige head. Aroma is chocolate, notes of orange, sweet. Taste follows with a real chocolate orange vibe, my favorite holiday treat. Sweet, roasty, woody and packing a punch.

Bottle. Dark mahogany beer with a brown head. Caramel and yeast aroma with orange and whiskey. Yeast and caramel flavor with orange, whiskey, and light spice. Medium bodied. Caramel and whiskey linger with yeast and orange.

Bottle. Pours clear hazel. Small beige head, decent lacing. Aroma is cocoa and orange. Flavor is just like eating a barrel aged chocolate covered orange. Light plus sweet, light plus bitter. Quite interesting.

Bottle from the brewery. Pours clear, very dark brown with a large creamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate and orange. Arguably full bodied. Flavor is chocolate, orange, burnt malt, and some rye notes. Not dry. Despite the name it's not sticky. A little heat. Could be some wood notes. Nice ale.
