Clear yellow gold with a frothy, white head. Aroma a mix of lime and spice with dank, slightly rancid undertones. Taste is moderate bitter and lightly citric with a faint, doughy sweetness underneath. Spice at the finish, but the rancid tones become more pronounced. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry. Not much fun.

Very German style beer brewed by a very Irish brewery, thanks to my girlfriend for the can straight from Ireland! Thick and foamy, snow white, stable, lacing head over a clear pure golden blonde beer with lively visible sparkling, turning lightly misty with sediment. Aroma of freshly baked white bread, freshly cut grass, potato starch, pumice, wet sand, minerals, hard green apple, Graham crackers, sweaty touch lagging behind. Crisp, clean onset, some very restrained fruitiness from that limited yeast residue, hinting faintly at unripe banana and green apple; remains very low in sweetness though, with a lively carbonated, smooth mouthfeel, in which minerally carbonation runs through cereally, straightforwardly white-bready maltiness, pure and simple, picking up a soft grassy hop bitter note in the end, which lingers a bit with gently drying effect. Feels natural, clean, to the point and pure, but perhaps a tad too generic to fully qualify as a Kölsch - a style which needs perfection in its tiniest details to be of significant distinction, something which is only very rarely accomplished outside of Cologne. That being said, this Limeburner is technically very well executed and refreshing on a summer day - I would happily drink this all afternoon.

Magus, happeline, linnaseline, puuviljane. Ok. Ps: silt ütleb, et kölsch style.. ainuke põhjus miks ma selle ostsin.. kuigi olen nõus, et rohkem maitselt peil eil, siis tavaliselt see ei loe untappdis..

0.44 l can from 'Craftbeershop.com', canned in February 2025. Clear, golden with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Slightly sweetish, moderately fruity-floral aroma of lemon peel, some fresh grass and light grains. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, gently fruity-floral and a bit grassy taste of grains, lemon peel and some fresh grass, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Decent beer, resembles a Pils rather than a Kölsch imho.

440ml can from Paus Craft Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy light golden straw colour with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, lager yeast, light citrus hops. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a crisp, malty, yeasty, grainy, mineral, light floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. I thought this seemed ok until it warmed and the flavours really came through. A Pale Ale?
