On cask at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - dark brown with orange chinks. Nose - sweet malt and light toffee. Taste - cereal and toffee again. Palate - creamy and close to medium bodied with a fairly balanced finish. Overall - decent.

13/4/2019. Cask at the Minerva Hotel, Hull. Pours dark amber with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of hops, malt, nut, chocolate, toffee, pine and citrus. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Good brew.

Cask at Minerva, Hull. 5.1%. Coppery amber colour, white foam head leaving lacing and zesty citrus aroma. Taste is nutty, malty, earthy with floral zingy citrus hop and mild bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied,soft carbonation, dry nutty mild finish. Quite drinkable.

Tried Lin cask at the Fox and Crown Newark. Deep chocolate brown colour with a pale tan head. Aroma and taste malty sweet hints of caramel and chocolate. Full body.

ABV: 5.5%. Clear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, haym caramel, sweet malt, earthy, damp stain - fusty. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, damp stain - fusty, earthy, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20190124]
