Easy drinking with 50:50 lager and carapils malt, there is little malt presence to allow the essence of the hops to shine through. With the double dry hops of Chinook, Cascade and Centennial to give stone-fruit, grapefruit and tangerine flavours. Here's one assertively bitter, West Coast Style imperial IPA that remains a juicy banger to sip on.

Cask at the Manchester Beer and Cider Festival, 2019. Cloudy orange pour with a white head. Aromas of peach, vanilla, mango. Flavours of peach, papaya, mango. Good.

ABV: 7.6%. Hazy medium orange colour with a average, frothy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, moderate to light light heavy hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, fruity hops - stone fruit, light leather. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, citrus - grapefruit, fruity hops - stone fruit, pale malt, sweet malt, fruity malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20190124]

Draft @ Brewdog Brussels. Dorée sur un léger voile, col blanc crémeux. Arôme offr eun houblonné fruité tirant dans les c-hops, léger pamplemousse, bouquet rétro de grains, malté pils, fruits à noyaux, agrumes légères et pointe de mandarine. Palais est agréablement bien houblonné, le palais est assez sec avec une petite note épicée de fin de bouche. Fruité, effet de pêche blanche - fruits à noyaux, pamplemousse - malt pils avec retour un peu lagerish de la levure. Assez classique dans l'approche des houblons - c-hops, agrumes - pamplemousse et pointe de pin. Fini est poussiéreux et grains assez marqués.

Keg at Brewdog tower hill. A translucent golden orange coloured pour with a a fine white head. Aroma is zippy citrus pez sweets, lemon curd, lime zest. Palate is semi sweet light resin, moderate carbonation, sticky hop. Flavour is composed of warming alcohol, light solvent, zesty lemon, simple base malts, pithy citrus. Little harsh hop bitterness bite... Ok.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2018 - Hackney, London. Day 3. Pours mostly clear gold with a frothy white head. Has a lot of bitter pine needles, grass, pale bread, ripe citrus, orange peel. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Somewhat harshly bitter in the finish, more aggressive grassy bitterness, pale grains, ripe lemon and orange. So so.
