2021 bottle. Bottle Named “Jalen Hurts for the Eagles” by my son. Sweet booze aroma. Deep brown with large brown head. Boozy molasses and honey flavor. Really well rounded and another great barrel.

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is chocolate, toffee, vanilla fudge, coconut, roasted, taste is similar, chewy, light sweetness.

Poured from a 500 ml, 2023 vintage bottle. Aroma is full of chocolate and roast notes with quite a bit of caramel, honey and toffee. Light treacle, anise, tobacco and leather notes. Medium light bourbon notes with hints of oak. Light alcohol notes. Pours jet black with dark brown hues on the edges and a medium sized, thick, dark mocha head that recedes steadily to the center where a small film lingers. Light lacing and long legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with lots of chocolate, caramel, toffee and lighter honey and roast notes. Hints of anise, leather and tobacco with faint raisin and prune notes. Moderate bitterness and light alcohol notes. Light bourbon and faint oak notes. Mouthfeel is full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid eclipse variant but not my favorite. Nice malt profile and barrel character, but I'm worried this will age with a lot of oxidation.

Waxed, capped 500 from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brn/blk with a moderate, transient tan head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, whiskey and darkish fruits. Quite full in body. Flavor is heat, chocolate, whiskey, earth, wood, leather, toasted malt, and something like dried plums. Not dry, but not sticky. Bitter from heat, burnt malt and whiskey. Fantastic.
