ABV: 7.4%. Clear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, chocolate, sweet malt, dark malt, light to moderate roasted, coffee - chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, chocolate, dark malt, roasted, sweet malt, coffee - chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20190123]

Keg at the Craft Beer co, Brighton. Black pour with a white head. Nose of coffee, caramel, sweet spice. Flavours of creme caramel, smoke, coffee, chocolate,toffee. Long sweet finish. Very tasty.

Third, draught at Stalybridge Buffet Bar. Covering fawn-coloured head. Spotty lacing. Coal black body. Aroma of liquorice, earth, and dark chocolate. Salty liquorice to the taste profile joined by cocoa and chocolate. Roasted bittersweet end. Quite pleasing. (Stalybridge 01.07.2018).

Cask at the Welly, pre Cotts Convention IV warm up act, 23/06/18. Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is roast malts, spice, liquorice stick, toffee, cocoa powder. Taste comprises brown sugar, chocolate biscuit, raisins, fruit cake, toffee. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Solid flavoursome cask stout.

Cask at the Wellington; dark brown pour with a tan head, aroma has dark malts and dark fruits, taste has liquorice, dark fruits, pretty good.

Cask at the Wellington - Birmingham. Pours deep brown with a frothy, khaki head. Nice aroma, sturdy roast, cocoa. Light-medium sweet flavour, smooth chocolate, bitter ash. Medium. I died with fine carbonation; good condition. Finishes with a little warmth, bittersweet chocolate, more ash. Solid.

Cask @ Victorian Craft Beer Cafe, Halifax. Despite the brewer once telling me never the same beer twice, I've been told this is a rebadge of the previously named Stout Bobek. Still smooth, still with light pleasant roasted malts.
