(Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 19 Nov 2023) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, chocolate and plums. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, liquorice, plums, prunes, a slightly fruity acidity and a balanced roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced, with a good plum character. Nice one.

Been wanting to try this for a while. It's lived up to my expectations. Fruity, dry, little bit of roast malts. Like it a lot!

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - mat black with red chinks. Nose - blackcurrant more than plums, but plums too. Taste - blackcurrant and stewed plums. Light smoke and liquorice. Palate - medium bodied, light smoke and very slight roastiness. Overall - very nice.

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Pours deep brown with a thin off-white head. Aromas of blackcurrant, dark plums, faint chocolate. Taste is more of the same. Dry finish.

Calderdale Beer Festival 2019, Halifax. Extremely dark red with its plum strong, and stated with a sweetness in both aroma and taste. Its wood cask provides some maturity but this brew is not that different to the normal cask version more readily available.

Cask (gravity) @ #MBCF19 - Day 1 🧙‍🍻🇬🇧, [ Manchester Beer & Cider Festival 2019 ], Manchester Central Convention Complex, Windmill St, Petersfield, M2 3GX Manchester, Great Manchester, England.

[ As Harrogate Plum Porter ].
ABV: 4.8%. ✅ Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, sweet malt, plum, sugary. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, sugary, plum, dark malt, to me a bit artificial like. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20190123]

Calderdale Beer Festival 2018. Dark brown with sweet plum dominant in both aroma and taste. It’s sugary in the latter.
