Satanic panic is a sociological phenomenon that first arose in the early 80's. Everyone was horrified of being subjected to satanic ritual abuse. We have conjured a satanic ritual in the form of a dark, thick imperial stout brewed with vanilla, molasses, cacao nibs, lactose and freshly roasted coffee. This is our over the top tribute to the darkness.

#2 fra fat på Cafe Fiasco (prøvebrett). Svart. Ørlite skum som blir helt borte. God aroma av melkesjokolade & kakao. Smaken mest kaffe men også en del kakao. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken varer lenge. Avslutter litt tørt.

330ml bottle, 10 % abv, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Tan-coloured head rapidly dissipating. Lacing rings down the glass. Opaque coal black body. Mixed aroma of chocolate and coffee, inviting. Bit of everything to the taste profile. Espresso coffee to the fore together with raw vanilla, leather, chocolate and liquorice. Roasted coffee bitterness to he ending. Dangerously easy to drink. Enjoying sipper on a Saturday eve (Tromsø 23.01.2016).

No panic here, neither satanic nor otherwise.

Draught @ BBB. Batch #2. Pours viscous blackish dark brown with a small mocha head that leaves a small trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty with roasted malts, burnt caramel, toffee, dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, heavy vanilla beans, moist soil, chocolate syrup and hints of alcohol. Taste is sweet, bitter and malty. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny roasted astringent, slightly boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, burnt caramel, dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, tons of vanilla beans, raisins, moist soil and hints of alcohol. Bit hot and vanilla heavy for me. Reminds me a lot of the RLGK celebration stout from All In Brewing when that was young and that developed beautifully during its first year so I hope to revisit this in a couple of months.
