Barrier from NYC came to visit Leeds - we brewed a beer, fed them pizza, and then went to North Bar and drank some of their excellent IPAs. For the collab we brewed a properly hazy DDH IPA reminiscent of their East Coast style of brewing.

(440ml can from Mikkeller Webshop) Pours very hazy pale orange with an average white head and spotty lace. Aroma of juicy pineapple, peach, mandarin, grapefruit, leafy hops. Flavour is juicy and moderately sweet with lots of mandarin, grapefruit, quite zesty citrus, soft pineapple, melon, lots of fresh leafy hops but little to no oniony hop burn. Touch of wheaty powderiness to the low bitterness finish. Medium bodied, average carbonation. Nice juice if a bit rounded off on the finish.

Can at home, 26/12/18. Hazed golden orange with a well presented lasting cream cap. Nose is tangerine, grass, airy malts, melon, gentle citric pith. Taste comprises orange pith, grass, light pine dusting, papaya, grapefruit, toasted malts, mixed tropicana. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with lightly aggressive mild danko hop bitterness. Solid IPA.
