Mother Kellyโ€™s. Keg. Clear deep red - brown beer, short lived pale tan head. Palate is light, fairly dry and crispy. Thin dark malts. Trace of creamy sweetness. Mellow earthy coffee. Whisper of tangy fruits. Light dry crisp finish. Drinkable otherwise nothing to see here, move along.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark brown pour with a creamy tan head, aroma has rich coffee and plain chocolate, taste has bitter roast coffee, some woodiness, dark fruits, bournville chocolate, could have done with a creamier mouthfeel, but pretty good.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Dark, cola brown. Some haze. Film and ring of lasting, beige head. Nose has loads of fresh ground coffee. Dark chocolate. Some charred wood. Some stewed vine fruit. Taste is woody, coffee dregs bitter. Bit of stickiness on the lips. Medium body. Bit too fizzy for the style, maybe. Bitter finish, akin to the last pour from a pot of filter coffee. The coffee thing is nailed on.
