On tap @EurHop 2017 (Rome). Bruna, schiuma beige media, non molto persistente. Al naso note di caffé non molto tostato, cioccolato. In bocca è un po' esile rispetto alle attese, appena dolce con finale caffettoso. Appena watery, carbonazione media. Non lascia granché.

Bottle thanks to Cloin. It pours darkest brown with a thick tan head. The aroma is soft, sweet, toasty, freshly roasted coffee, quite mellow, toasted nut and cocoa. The taste is bitter - sweet, rich roasted malt, nice coffee character, cocoa, dark chocolate, tobacco, pepper, wood, toasted nut and tannin with a toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Tasty and very drinkable.

Keg at Hook, Wild Beer new bar, Bristol, Saturday 4th February 2017 Pours dark, dark brown with a very slim light beige head. Lots of coffee on the nose, the coffee also present in the mouth. A dark fruity edge, fine enough. A7 A3 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

Keg at Mother Kelly’s - London. Pours black with a creamy, beige head. The aroma holds moderate coffee, light roast, cocoa. Light to medium sweet flavour, with nicely rounded chocolate character, light earthy bitterness, burnt toast, baking cocoa, coffee with cream. Light bodied, somewhat creamy, with massaging carbonation. Nicely balanced finish with further hocolate character, mellow roast, hints of maple syrup and vanilla, restrained bitterness. Nice depth and very drinkable.

Keg at mother Kelly’s. A clear reddy / caramel brown coloured pour with a lasting halo of tan head. Aroma is woody SWeet roast, fresh coffee bean, vanilla pecan, mellow roasted coffee. Flavour is composed of nutty brown bread, coffee, hint of ash, coffee bean. Palate is medium light, frothy carbonation, little mineral. Drying ashy roast in the finish. Good punchy coffee.
