A real treat that hits all the notes of a good Westie…classically bitter with layers of sappy resin, orange marmalade and pithy grapefruit.

That’s hugely drinkable from top to bottom. Nicely balanced pale malt sugars, lightly juicy citrus fruits, tangerines, restrained piney bitterness. The kind of beer that goes down very easily - especially when it’s around 30C.

On tap at The Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Clear gold pour with a white head. Piney, citrusy nose. Piney resinous taste, lots of bitter fruits, quite herby. Earthy, hop laden finish.

500ml can. Clear golden, frothy white head. Aroma of pine, resin, marmalade, grapefruit. Taste is very piney and resinous, orange and grapefruit, marmalade, a lick of caramel, crisp, clean, and decently bitter. Medium bodied. Great WC beer that punches a bit above its weight.
