Big thanks to Mr H for dragging the score down with his 0.5 tick ... just what brewers want and a reason why RB isn't taken seriously anymore (yes - it once was)! Stop doing this FFS ... tick at 3 or 4 or even give the beer the actual end score! Keg at the Newbarns taproom, Leith, 05/10/24. Clear golden pour with carbonation well evident and topped with a white crown. Nose is pale malts, grass, herb, corn, cereals, biscuit. Taste comprises grass, lemon rind, hedgerow, herb, pale and bready malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a modest hoppy back note. Tidy.

440ml can. Clear yellow, tiny white head which doesn't last - very unusual for a lager! Aroma of biscuity malts, corn, mild citrus. Taste of biscuity malt, corn, grassy and citrusy, finishes with quite an assertive bitterness, perfectly clean and crisp. Great lager.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - pale, golden yellow with a nicely proportioned snow white head. Nose - green bean, bitter salad and biscuit. Taste - crisp salad, light hemp note, biscuit bitterness. Palate - lovely malt and hops bitterness, great length. Overall - great one!
